Frigid February?

Frigid February?

Is your birthday this month? A happy February birthday to you!  Presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan also had birthdays this month, so you’re in good company.  Your birthstone is the lovely Amethyst and your flowers are the violet and primrose. If you had lived during the Victorian era, a gift of violets meant that you’d always be true. Primroses signified that you couldn’t live without that wonderful other person in your life. Since Valentine’s Day comes this month, those flowers fit right in, don’t they? Maybe this is why February babies are said to have an extra loving heart.

The title of this blog is Frigid February and it’s far from frigid this morning, but beware the calm before the storm! If all the meteorologists are correct, tomorrow will be much different. So will Thursday. It all sounds like the recipe for a perfect winter storm…perfect if you like freezing rain, sleet, ice, and snow. That’s what’s forecast to move in.

Weather is interesting…not many dull moments and what’s amazing is that it can change so quickly and so completely. So, be prepared. Stay safe and well and remember if you settle in with a good cozy mystery and an excellent cup of coffee, you won’t mind the rain or the sleet or the snow. Well, maybe not quite so much anyway.
