Curiosity, the Cat, and You

Curiosity, the Cat, and You

This morning, I am putting you in the spotlight. I, the curious author, am curious about you. I want to know what you look for in a cozy mystery, what you like or dislike,  and why you read the Ned McNeil series and the Darcy and Flora series. And, I want to know how you heard about these books. You know what they say about curiosity. It’s a good trait to have; without it, how would anyone get any answers to questions?

Do you prefer ebooks or print copies? Why?

As you know, I like getting reviews. As I read through them, I try to find a common theme, the thing that stands out most to the readers. Here are a few reviews for By the Fright of the Silvery Moon. Do you agree with them?  And, if you haven’t yet written a review, I’d be happy if you did.

Ned McNeil wakes from a horrible nightmare scared half to death. She hears a howling coming from outside her home , Granger Mansion is it a wolf ? There are other hauntingly scary things that happen to Ned as days progress. Some one tries to run her off a road in a very heavy fog why is someone trying to hurt her? You’ll have to read By The Fright Of The Silvery Moon to find the answer in this edge of your seat to the end. I was given this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

It’s really fun when you get into a series that never loses momentum or quality and keeps getting better. That’s my experience of Ms. Manos’ latest in the Ned series. I’ve been following Ned’s adventures from the start. I will say that you won’t have any trouble following along if this happens to be your first time reading her, but you’ll enjoy the others.

I tend to read before bed, and I will say this one’s hard to put down. Sometimes my eyelids won the battle for a night, and I could hardly wait to read more of Ned’s adventures the next day.

All of Ms. Manos books have been awesome. However, each time her books get better. I highly recommend any and all. Her descriptions are among the best. They are so clear one can almost see what she is describing. I anxiously await the next one. Thanks for The Fright of the . Silvery Moon I couldn’t put it down.

Do you read reviews before you buy? A friend of mine who reads a lot of cozies, says she never reads the reviews; she wants to make up her mind about a book by herself. Other people like to read what someone else thinks about a book before they invest time and money in it. So, I’d like to know your opinion.

You may send your answers in the comment section at the bottom of this post or you may send them as a message on Facebook.com/blanchemanos, or you may email them to manosmeadows@sbcglobal.net.

Oh, and by the way, the first five Darcy and Flora cozies are still only ninety-nine cents each. The newest Ned McNeil mystery is $4.97. I don’t know how long my publisher will leave the books at these amazing prices. One of these days, they’ll go back to the $4.97 price; the questions is, when?

You probably know me pretty well, through my books and author’s pages and now, I’d like to get to know you! You have got to be some of the most interesting people on the planet, and you, as I, have a healthy dose of curiosity. I know who some of you are. We are friends either through Facebook or in reality, but I’d like to become acquainted with many others. So come on in, have a cup of coffee, and send me your thoughts!
