The temperature is shivering around twenty-four degrees and guess what? That’s the high! The low will be somewhere around fourteen tonight. There’s also the possibility of snow. That’s the way it is here in NWArkansas. The weather is an interesting, iffy thing. Never count on it staying one way or the other. It must be quite a challenge to try to forecast it.
The sky is slate gray and a brisk wind ruffles brown leaves left on the trees. Altogether, the landscape is not an inviting one. If snow falls, that’ll change. Nothing changes bleak to beautiful like snow does. At least, for a little while.
What an excellent day to stay inside and get warm and cozy with a mystery. Hot coffee, warm fire, comfy chair and a book! As the song goes, “The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful.” (from Let It Snow.)
