Continuing the saga of Nemo and the Hurt Foot. Well, the operated-on foot. He keeps chewing off the bandage. I know–he has the plastic cone to wear around his head and he does wear it. Except, I have to take it off him when he eats or drinks. And, if it’s off and I forget to put it back on and I take my eyes off him for a few minutes, he tears into that fretful thing that shouldn’t be there on his foot. The bandage lies in tatters on the floor.
My patient veterinarian has already replaced it once. Now, it’s off again. I think I’ll call the vet this morning and talk to him. Maybe they could encase it in something indestructible or maybe they can show me how to put a bandage on a dog’s foot.
We all have our trials, don’t we? So does Nemo. So do I. But, for two days, let’s just forget them and delve into a cozy mystery.
