Laboring Away

A lovely Labor Day dawns in Arkansas. Wherever you are, I hope your day is lovely too. As we rest from our work, let’s be thankful for jobs, for the good health to do them, for families, for freedom, for so many things. You have your own personal list as I have mine.

Each Labor Day, I mop a floor or two. Know why? I’m grateful for the strength and energy to wield a mop and grateful that I have floors to mop. And, something about a clean, shiny floor just lifts my spirits.

Remember that today is a good day to do something fun, like reading an intriguing cozy mystery, or buying four of them for only $6.99! You can do it! Just click here:  www.amazon.com/Darcy-Flora-Boxed-Set-ebook/dp/B019ASOF44

To go with us throughout the day, here is a Labor Day prayer, taken from Psalm 90:

So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days! And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.
