Seems Like I’ve Heard That Before

Today’s blog is a list of quotes that we’ve probably heard–or, maybe not. Anyway, I thought it would  be fun to list them and see how you do. These are the possibilities: I Corinthians 13:13, William Shakespeare, Scarlett O’Hara, John F. Kennedy, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Sir Winston Churchill, Robert Browning, Victor Hugo, Mark Twain, Darcy Campbell (The Cemetery Club), Rhett Butler, Robert E. Lee, George Washington, Dale Evans, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Queen Elizabeth II.

Note: Some of the names may be used more than once. Remember this is just for fun, so pour a cup of coffee and join me.

My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.

Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.

Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

If music be the food of love, play on.

Brevity is the soul of wit.

After all…tomorrow is another day.

You’re like the thief who isn’t the least bit sorry he stole, but is terribly, terribly sorry he’s going to jail.

What a cruel thing war is…to fill our hearts with hatred instead of love for our neighbor.

It is far better to be alone than to be in bad company.

Grief is the price we pay for love.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

Happy trails to you until we meet again.

I’d like a cup of your famous brew, perked in that old yellow coffee pot, so strong a spoon could stand alone in it.

Never, never, never give up.
