More Flowers

Saturday, I went flower shopping. And, sure enough, my favorite outdoor shop had a new shipment of chrysanthemums. Hard to resist those bright, beautiful flowers, so I didn’t. I bought two smallish pots to brighten the front flower bed.

Then, I noticed honeybees were really buzzing around the cone flowers or echinacea. Since I have a lack of bees in my yard, one of those pots came home with me too. So, even though summer is winding down, I’m perking up the remainder of the warm season as much as I can.

The grape vine is growing. I only hope it continues. Herbs have done well, not so with the tomato plants.

My son brought me a pretty bouquet yesterday. That brightens the kitchen counter. So, flowers all around to celebrate this nearly last day of August. Can you believe September starts in a couple of days?
