Go Away, Bad Bug!

Go Away, Bad Bug!

At last it caught up with me, that horrible, awful something called the Grunge. It snuck in when I wasn’t looking, and before I knew it, it bit! I was infected! I’m much better than I was but still yucky. My children have been bringing me food and offering sympathy but the Grunge is a hard thing to shake. One thing about it, when the cough and runny nose leave, I’ll truly appreciate being healthy again. So, if there’s a good thing about it, that’s it.

My dog Nemo is all sympathy. When my cough rattles the rafters of the house, he comes to stare at me sympathetically. I know if he could talk, he’d say, “Now, now. It’ll be better soon. And, if you could hold it down a little, please?”

In between naps (brought on by the expectorant) taking said expectorant, cough drops, drinking lots of liquids, and more naps, I’ve read some. The last book being Kelly’s Coffee Shop by Dianne Harman. Anybody out there read it?

Speaking of books, just a reminder that Pen-L Publishing’s early Valentine to readers in the form of 99 cent ebooks continues for a while. This is truly a good time to stock up.

Please don’t come down with the Grunge as I did. I value you, my readers. I want to think of you cuddled up comfortably on your sofa with a Darcy and Flora in hand I don’t want you to be bitten by a mean, awful bug and frighten the whole countryside with your coughs. Stay well! Stay happy. And stay reading!
