Aftermath

Aftermath

There seems to be a let-down feeling after a holiday, at least, that’s the way it seems to me. This morning is chilly, temp in low forties, and Easter has come and gone. The trees, however, wear gowns of light green, grass is green, and birds are busy. So, no matter the feeling, spring is actually here.

Weather seems determined to be interesting this season. First, the tornado, then, a light snow, and, Saturday morning before daylight, the worst hailstorm I’ve ever seen. Huge chunks of jagged ice, some two or three inches across, hammered the roof. I couldn’t have heard myself talk. This lasted about ten minutes. Now, twigs and battered leaves cover the ground. So, although the day is off to a chilly start, at least we have no tornado, snow, or hail.

I hope you had a pleasant Easter and the rest of this spring is a happy time for us all.
