A Wild and Wicked Month

July is a hot, dry month. Right? Wrong! Or, at least, that certain July in Levi, Oklahoma isn’t hot and dry, but it is murderous. It is also the rainiest month that the good citizens of the small Oklahoma town can ever remember. For Darcy and Flora, it is one of the most dangerous.

In the midst of a violent thunderstorm, a stranger is murdered, a trusted icon of the community turns out to be a fraud and somebody evidently looks on murder as a hobby…or something. Accompanying all this is the rain. It keeps falling and the river and creeks keep rising.

Miss Carolina and Miss Georgia, the single ladies who live in a centuries-old house in Levi, are sure their basement is haunted. Food keeps disappearing and there are other spooky happenings. They are almost ready to move out and, maybe, go live with Flora and Darcy.

July is a month where anything can happen, and it does! Darcy and Flora are caught between a determined and unhinged murderer and a creek that’s in flood stage. Grave Heritage, the fourth Darcy and Flora cozy mystery. It’s available on Amazon.
