A Strange, Wonderful Sound

It must be the thunder that is a problem for Nemo. He should go outside and take care of business but when I open the door, he looks at me and asks, “Are you crazy? Me go out in that?” So, I hope he can wait a while.

In the meantime, I’m grateful for the rain and have officially declared this a writing day. Writing, reading, and guess what? It’s Cozy Critique Day. The Critters may have to dash between the raindrops to get to my front door but they are a valiant group. They’ve done that before and they, like I, love the rain. It’s a good day for books!

This post was a look back at a night and day a few years ago. We could use that wonderful sound of rain again! Grass and trees and flowers are looking thirsty. And, I saw an exhausted squirrel leaning against an oak, fanning with a petunia, and sipping a glass of tea. Maybe this post will help the rain come on. Who knows? At any rate, I was revived and refreshed to re-read the wonderful review someone wrote about the third Darcy and Flora, Best Left Buried. I hope you are too.                                                                                                 ———————————————————————————————————

“It would take many great adjectives to describe this third book of Blanche Day Manos. They were all three fantastic; but this third one was beyond fantastic. i didn’t want to put the book down so I simply put off my responsibilities or even my sleep. I didn’t want to put it down because I wanted to see what was going to happen next. I definitely recommend all three of these books; just be prepared to get emotionally involved in each plot.” — Amazon Review
