I don’t think Nemo has a white coat syndrome because his doctor doesn’t always wear a white coat. In fact, thinking back, I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen him wear one. But, my little dog has always loved going to the vet’s office simply because he’s excited about going any place. So, yesterday, that’s where he went.
Nathan went with me, thank goodness, to drive and to corral Nemo. My little pup has grown old in sixteen years and has developed arthritis plus a few lamentable habits, like chewing off his fur in a place or too. His toenails needed a pedicure and he needed a good, medicated bath, so off he went. He also got an arthritis shot. If your dog has arthritis, it might be worthwhile to discuss those shots with his veterinarian. They really have helped Nemo and are available once a month.
We had a sudden, noisy thunderstorm two nights ago even with some street flooding. But, this morning is sunny and holds the promise of a really good day. Nemo would agree with me, if he could. By the way, he took his meds quite happily this morning because they were cunningly concealed within his moist food breakfast! Sometimes devious tactics get the job done.
