Who Is That Knocking?

Who is that knocking on the door of autumn? It sounds like Old Man Winter, demanding entry. Today is chilly and wintry with falling temperatures and rain. Tonight and tomorrow, even colder–below freezing! And, it’s not even Halloween! Is this going to be a frigid winter?

Last night was cold and drizzly as winter made its approach, but my heart was warmed and my spirits lifted as I heard my grandson as well as many of the best high school singers in the area at their fall concert. What wonderful voices. These young people sang beautifully; they were a joy to hear.

Our children are our hope for the future. The weather may turn dark and the wind may be freezing, but as long as the children sing, we have hope for today and for tomorrow.

  1. I used to sing in the Glee Club in high school. It was a great way of bonding with the other students.

  2. Yes, it is. Lots of neat experiences.
