Waxing Poetic

Waxing Poetic

Spring is actually here! Hopefully, there’ll be no more freezes. It makes a person absolutely giddy and feel like grabbing a pencil and waxing poetic! Do you have a springtime poem you’d like to share?

Awakening

Springtime’s breath is in the breezes

Stirring blossoms as it teases

Roses into sharing their perfume.

Gently warming, softly shaking,

Sleeping flowers into waking,

Breathing springtime into every drowsy bloom.

Migration

High up in the sky last night,

A promise winged its wedge-shaped flight,

A promise of the seasons changing,

Of nature’s landscape rearranging.

Flying in a V formation,

Looking for a new location,

Wild geese flew through moonlit spaces,

Going to their springtime places.
