Thoughtfully True

Thoughtfully True

If you haven’t heard or read this for a while, I think you’ll enjoy the animated tale of The Boy, the Man, and the Donkey. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?

It illustrates what I’ve been thinking  lately–we can’t please everybody and it’s a waste of time to try.  Examples are the people the man and boy met along the way. Each was critical, but each had a different idea. They made the man feel guilty for the way he was taking the donkey to market, but, did you notice that none of them spoke from experience? This, however, didn’t keep them from expressing an opinion.

Sometimes criticisms aren’t spoken outright. They are simply implied. The people along the way made the man feel guilty. Guilt is a powerful motivator.

Why, in the first place, are criticisms offered? Hard to know. Anyway, on this beautiful, sunny day after the elections, for some weird reason, this old folk tale popped into my mind.
