Taking a Look Back

Taking a Look Back

Happy first day of winter! This is the shortest day of the year. From now on, the days will get longer and longer until June 20, which is the longest day of the year. It’s like the wise old squirrel told the puzzled little puppies in one of my favorite children’s books, “It’s like a wheel, turning round and round.”

Since December is the last month of the year and Christmas is a time for nostalgia, here’s a look back at Fran’s kitchen a few years ago. Four of the Cozy Critters are pictured: Jane, Peg, Nancy, and Judy. Times change and since that day, Nancy has moved to Illinois and Judy to Texas. Fran now lives in Idaho. I’m glad Peg and Jane are still here.

Is anybody else taking inventory of the year’s events? Do you jot them down in a daily journal then go back and read them at year’s end? Or, are you busy living day-to-day and looking forward to each sunrise? Or, both?

for Christmas

If I could put all my blessings under my Christmas tree, there wouldn’t be room for them all. I’d have to get a larger tree. People are my chief blessings–people I love and people who love me, friends, both new and the ones who have been with me through thick and thin, those of you I’ve never met but who read this blog and/or my cozy mysteries. I’m blessed beyond measure.  Thank you, Blessings! You’ve made this a wonderful year.
