Autumn Is a Rainy Day

Autumn Is a Rainy Day

Thank you to those who are sharing yesterday’s blog post. If you haven’t yet done that, just click on this link: http://www.blanchedaymanos.com/a-small-gift-for-you I mailed some of the pens yesterday and will mail others today.

Fall was in the air yesterday. It was in the small rain that fell off and on, pattering against fallen leaves. It shone in the brilliance of sweet gum leaves and in the delicate tracery of green and orange of the maple.

“Is it time for bird feeders yet?” the squirrel seemed to ask as he stared at me through the kitchen window. But no, not yet, little thief; soon–very soon.

Inside the house, the fireplace felt welcome. Rain slid down the window and puddled in the yard. It was a time for thinking about other falls, people who had shared them, a time for remembering.
