This August morning is still and golden–not a breeze stirring and so far, no smoke from Canada or dust from the Sahara. Thumps and bumps come from over my head. Remember the hailstorm that tore through more than a month ago? This new roof is the result of that.
The small neighborhood cat is absent from my front porch this morning. Too much noise and activity for him. He’ll be back, when everything has settled down.
Oh, my! Looks like my neighbor across the street is getting a new roof too. Lots of big trucks, lots of noise and suddenly, my quiet street is quiet no longer. It’s an interesting morning.

Our neighbors are getting a new second floor which will of course include a new roof. Not to mention new water lines. Lots going on around there.
That really does sound like a lot going on.
