At certain milestones, it’s nice to look back and do a little check-up on life. So, this morning, I’m waxing philosophical.
We all go through storms and some storms leave imprints that are impossible to erase. But, the happy times, the bright and sunny moments far out-weigh the dark times and those are the ones I want to remember.
A long time ago, someone wrote “life is dappled shade and sunshine.” Sometimes the shade is dark but even then, there’s a glimmer of light, a hope that things will get better. Storms are lighter with a hand to hold, someone who believes in you, no matter what. It’s good to have someone who knows you but likes you anyway.
People who cared at the times I needed them most are the ones I want to remember.
