I Wonder Sometimes–Do You?

I met a former student and her mother coming out of a store here in town. I thought the mom looked familiar and when I saw the Oklahoma car tag, I asked if they were from Tahlequah. “Yes,” she answered. I told her my name and asked if she had a little girl in my classroom. I’ve heard people say that if they had life to live again, they wouldn’t do anything differently. This amazes me. My question is, “Didn’t you learn anything the first time around? ”  I think wisdom comes from experience. The important thing is what we do with all that we gain through the years. I’m very glad for many of the choices and decisions I made, but if I had made different choices and decisions, what would have been the outcome? Sometimes I wonder…
