Hold Onto the Lifeline

Hold Onto the Lifeline

002

When you feel you’re about to sink in a sea of uncertainty, grab onto a lifeline–a book. It’s hard to be confined mostly to our homes and not be able to enjoy getting together with friends. It’s hard to experience the loss of freedom that we’ve never known before. This time of enforced loneliness will end, and until that time, a book can help us get from here to there and still retain our sanity.

Books have helped me through times of waiting beside a loved one in a hospital bed, long wait times to see a doctor; even on long drives which would be lonely except for an audio book.

But now, I see books as an absolute necessity in day to day living, or in being able to relax and sleep at night. No matter what genre you prefer, or what time period you want to visit, you can do that–just open a book.

By the way, if you long for the sound of a human voice, try an audio book. They are great company and they are available online. Books are ever ready companions; nothing else can whisk you away from reality into the limitless land of imagination. Hold tight to your lifeline and know that this difficult time won’t last forever.

All four of the Darcy and Flora books are available as audio books. Just click www.amazon.com/s?k=audio+book+blanche+day+manos&i=audible
