My web master, Matt, has completed putting a sample of the seventh cozy mystery on this website. For some free reading that I think you’ll enjoy, click onĀ  “Samples” at the top of this page. They are free and they are introductions to each of the cozies. Fun!

Yesterday was a perfect summer day, not too hot, blue sky, just really nice. So, I worked on a colored pencil portrait of a certain young lady, and I baked a marble cake. It has been a long time since I’ve baked one and I’m not sure why. They are quick and easy to make. I’ll frost it today.

Each morning, the first bird I hear is the dove. I noted last year that the dove’s call was always C on the music scale. I haven’t checked this year to be sure that it’s the same, but I’ll bet it is. Interesting!

I keep looking for a frog or a turtle to come to the bird bath, but so far, I haven’t seen one. I saw several frogs and turtles when I lived at Manos Meadows in Tahlequah, but very few here. I wonder why. I’m afraid they may soon be on the endangered list along with bees. Wonder when people will realize that insecticides and herbicides are not that good for our wildlife? I miss those little animals.

This is the Lord’s Day, a perfect opportunity to gather with other Christians for worship. But then, every day is the Lord’s Day, isn’t it? And we can praise God in all we do and say throughout the week. Happy Sunday, everyone, and happy reading!
