Food and Fun at Fran’s

Food and Fun at Fran’s

One of the best things about a brand new month is the luncheon at Fran’s. Yesterday was no exception. Jane and I drove over. Cozy Critters Judy and Nancy were there too as well as nine or ten other ladies. And, of course, Miss Kitty, Fran’s personable orange cat who was sporting a new hair style. Miss Kitty strolled around the house, keeping an eye on things while we ate. Actually, these were the ingredients for the start of a cozy mystery: friends, cat, food. However, I heard of no nefarious happenings. Just lots of happy chatter of women visiting and munching. There’s no mystery about that.

When I first started going to Fran’s, the only people I knew were Peg and Nancy. Now my circle of friends has enlarged to include the regulars, the newcomers, and the occasional visitor . The picture below is of Fran’s garden as it looked in July. It has grown and blossomed since then. Sort of like friendships.

  1. This time I’m ending the day with you! Thank you for your most kind words about being here, blossoming flowers and friendships, etc. (Miss Kitty loved being mentioned!)
Two things I meant to say to you n Jane…to you, I wanted to say how I loved your “down-home” quiche! Delicious!
And to Jane I wanted to beg for a bowl of her beans to be left! Best ever beans! So fun to have you all bring something! Thanks so much!

    • Fran, your comments are always so nice to read. My friend Carol who enjoys reading about your luncheons, mentioned something else that I forgot to include: your coffee. Coffee is an important ingredient in each of my cozy mysteries, you know. What’s even better, you, Darcy and Flora, and I use and enjoy Folgers. Now how neat is that!
