Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve

I woke up this morning and sprang from my bed, with thoughts of a busy day rife in my head.

Now on with the coffee pot, on with my blog; fill the bird feeders and also the dog.

Quick, to the kitchen I go in a hurry; from counter to stove top I scoot and I scurry.

The pots and the pans I attack with a clatter; I’ve got to find recipes, stir up some batter.

Christmas is coming and company too; I can’t waste a minute, there’s baking to do.

But then, with the evening, when all the work’s done, I’ll say, “Welcome, Christmas. God bless us, each one.”

  1. Love this!! Merry Christmas, Aunt Blanche!

  2. Such a cute snowman! Already went to Church, going shopping soon for dessert and snacks for tomorrow to go with our traditional Chinese food. A little more cleaning up to do as well, since I don’t have people over very often and it’s easy to let things slide then.

  3. Merry Christmas to you, Blanche!
