A New Day

Spring flowers are peeking up from among the grass and last year’s leaves.004 Of all the flowers, these first ones are to me among the most beautiful. Buttercups, wild violets, bluets, all are eager to raise their heads and take a look at the big world.003

I’m sure there are scientific answers to why the miracle of spring happens each year but I really like this answer: God planned it that way.

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, here is a unique Irish blessing:

May those who love us, love us.

And those who don’t love us , may God turn their hearts.

And, if He doesn’t turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles

So that we will know them by their limping.

  1. Always love seeing the first flowers of Spring! Also love that fun poem!

    • Yes, those first flowers are welcome sights. I think the poem is funny–don’t know who wrote it, but it certainly sounds Irish.
