A Comfort Zone

A Comfort Zone

News of the war in Ukraine and the power-hungry and ruthless Mr. Putin has my brain on overload. Last night, I even dreamed about running from an enemy, trying to escape, and being scared. I am awed by the courage of the Ukraine President and the people. I pray for them all and for this war not to escalate.

Lest I be overcome by worry, I take a small mental break from the present strife. It’s nice to consider, sometimes, people of the past and their wisdom. Several years ago, a children’s magazine published one of my poems about remedies for physical ills possibly used (although I don’t guarantee this) by some of America’s first people. It’s nice to remember.
