Snow Sharks

My neighbor made a cute snowman. He looks bright and cheerful and right at home in his yard of snow. There’s an old saying that if snow stays on the ground three days, there’ll come another snow on top of it.

I remember, years ago, we had a lot of snow and also a fierce wind that blew the snow, sending ripples across the surface. Sometimes, it looked like there was something under the snow, swimming around, like fish in a creek. Of course, my over-active imagination went into high gear and I thought, “What if…”

What if there were a cold, hungry shark swimming around under the snow? So, a new story took shape in my mind and found its way onto paper and the story, Snow Shark, was born.

That’s what happens when spending too much time staring at too much snow. So, beware! Imagination can take over.
