Am I the only one who is disgusted with reading what I consider to be gossip or tattle tales about famous people? Whether it’s movie stars from the past, politicians, or other people, it seems that their imperfections or problems are what make the news.
Personally, I’d rather keep the positive aspects of their characters in mind and remember them by these, not by their lapses in judgment or wrong choices, or whatever. Nobody is perfect, that’s for sure, and the writers or reporters who delve into the past of famous or even near-famous persons, are not perfect either.
Barnyard chickens have the deplorable habit of attacking one of their flock who is injured. I’d think they would gather around the unfortunate, encouraging her, offering some sympathetic clucks, but no! They add insult to injury by pecking the poor other hen.
Anyway, I’d like to keep my illusions about the actors or actresses, writers, artists, politicians, or just everyday citizens. They all have positive qualities and unless it’s vital to expose the negative, why splash it about? Remember the chickens. I, for one, don’t want to be one.
