Life B. K.

There was life Before Kittens and there is Life After Kittens. My son, daughter-in-law and grandson decided something was lacking in their lives and that something was a kitten. As it happened, a friend was looking for a home for a little stray who had popped unexpectedly into their truck and, at great peril, had survived under its hood next to the engine. As she already had five cats, the friend really wanted a good, loving home for this one little waif and she found it–with my family.

Bea was a nice Kitty, a pretty kitty, but still something was missing. What Bea and everyone else needed was another kitten. So, via the animal shelter, Skeeter was introduced to the household. And, lo and behold! life suddenly became a lot livelier, more hectic, and more fun.

Kittens do kitten things and to them, it’s nothing extraordinary. To her adopted family, their antics are hilarious–mostly. Some are downright frustrating, but we won’t dwell on that. Kittens love to climb and climb they do–nothing is out of reach of these two, Bea and Skeeter. Kittens also love to hide and believe me, Miss Bea excels at hiding.

Kittens bring with them a certain amount of problems but, hey! We all have them–problems, that is. To offset that, kittens also bring a large amount of fun. Believe me when when I say, life B.K. (before kittens)was decidedly a lot duller, when looked back upon.
