A sincere Happy New Year to all of you readers! May this be the best year yet. It’s a chilly, clear morning here in NWArkansas; no breeze, sunny sky, the promise of a good day. Happy birth month to all you January babies. The garnet, a lovely, deep red stone is your birthstone and your flowers are the carnation and snowdrop.
According to Almanac.com, fog in January means a wet spring; if grass grows well in January, it will grow badly the whole year.
Do you know additional weather lore or wise sayings? How about, “If autumn oaks are bare of acorns, squirrels will be skinny, come spring?” Or, “The first twelve days of January mirror the twelve months of the year?” Or, “January’s snow means in the spring, crops will grow.” It’s fun to make up your own wise sayings.
Ready or not, this is a brand-new year; a brand-new book of 365 pages and you are the author! Happy writing and a happy life story for each one of you!

Great weather lore! Happy New Year!
Thanks, Morgan. Happy New Year to you and Good Paul and Buster!
