We Cozy Critters discussed everything from all directions– East to West, from North to South, and all in between. It may not have been structured but it was fun. Oh yes, we also talked about books and writing.
Jane re-read the lovely poem that a trip to the Gulf inspired, “Secrets of the Ocean.” Her poetry paints beautiful pictures and even though I wasn’t there at the beach, in my mind’s eye, I was.
Carolyn read an amusing story about her newest great-grandbaby. She also read a poem, A Baby Boy Gift. Carolyn’s poems are usually short but they pack a lot of punch into only a few lines.
And Peg? Well, Peg has been busy reading. One of the books she is reading is by that Manos woman. Another is Addressed to Kill by Jean Flowers. It is a postmistress mystery and Peg enjoys that series.
Of course, I handed round the copies of By the Fright of the Silvery Moon that arrived Tuesday.. You can tell by the expressions on faces, that everyone was overjoyed to have their own copy.
As we all know, cookies and coffee make chats or critiques or even cozy mysteries just a little bit more enjoyable. Because of a conflict in my schedule, our next critique has been postponed until September 13. That’s a lot of time for who knows what to happen? I can hardly wait.
How fun! Love your Cozy Critters after-comments and pictures of my loved and missed friends in AR! In my mind’s eye, I was there! : )
Thanks for writing, Fran. You are loved and missed too and wherever you are, you’ll always be an honorary Cozy Critter.
Oh, Blanche! That just blesses my heart! Thank you!!
