A Stormy Night

We had a stormy night and I slept right through it! My neighbors have tree limbs down in their yards and on the news, I noticed Oklahoma had some wind damage.

But, we did get some much-needed rain. So, that’s springtime–the good and the bad. I hope other people were more alert than I was and aware of the danger.

Nevertheless, it’s pleasantly warm this morning and the walker has been up the hill once and is now making her second trip. Birds are singing, particularly the robins and this kind of weather is perfect for the tiny tree frogs. Where did the bugs and spiders go during the storm? Under a rock wouldn’t have been safe from a deluge that might dislodge them and clinging to a leaf or limb, they would have been in danger of being blown away. I expect, though, that they managed to get through.

So now, we’re into the hump day and I see the clouds are parting. So, rain and sunshine–that’s springtime and life, the good and the bad, and like the small, wild things, we’ll get through.
