I woke up this morning and sprang from my bed, with thoughts of a busy day rife in my head.
Now on with the coffee, it’s hot and it’s strong; (I’ll sing as I work, a good Christmas song.)
Quick, to the kitchen I go in a hurry; from counter to stove top I scoot and I scurry.
The pots and the pans I attack with a clatter; I’ve got to find recipes, stir up some batter.
Christmas is coming and company too; I can’t waste a minute, there’s baking to do.
But then, with the evening, when all the work’s done, I’ll say, “Welcome, Christmas. God bless us, each one.”

I love this, Blanche! Merry Christmas!!
Thank you, Susan. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
