Zooming Into Sunday

Zooming Into Sunday

Sunday! The start of a brand-new week and Sunday School. A little different meeting now. Oh, we still get together, we seniors, with cups of coffee and smiles, but we do it via Zoom. Who knew? I sure didn’t, but with the marvels of technology,  life goes on.

I’m thankful for a lot of things this morning and at the top of my list is my family. They made my birthday yesterday into a gala affair. A cake, flowers, phone calls, gifts, well wishes– it all went together to make yesterday a memorable day and a glad milestone in my life.

My neighbor across the street and I visited too, each in our respective yards, the street between us. But, it was a visit. Even the weather cooperated. However, it wasn’t the gifts that made the day special, but the love and encouragement that prompted them.

As I look around at adjustments being made , I’m proud (not boastfully proud, but happily proud) that we are doing the best we can and going forward. In spite of limitations. life goes on as we look  toward the return of our freedom to move about and visit as we wish. Remember that old saying, You don’t miss the water till the well runs dry? We don’t miss our freedoms until we don’t have them, either. But, until they return, we’ll persevere, striving to get back to our normal, wonderful, ordinary life.
