Refrigerator Love

Refrigerator Love

Your refrigerator may be a shining white or stainless steel beauty. It probably is not a bulletin board, like mine. My refrigerator holds perishable food items on the inside and dear-to-my heart items on the outside. Pictures, quotes, Bible verses, more pictures, children’s handprints, priceless works of art, all together in happy, carefree abandon adorn that appliance’s outside. One of these days I’ll make a scrapbook and call it Love From the Refrigerator.

Quote: “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart; I’ll stay there forever.” – Winnie the Pooh.

“From the rising of the sun to its going down, the Lord’s name is to be praised” (Psalms 113:3).

“In spite of illness, in spite of sorrow, one can remain lively long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in curiosity, interested in big things and happy in small ways.” – A Backward Glance, 1934

“The heart is you, the hand is me, To show we are friends, the best that can be. I hope you save it and look back some day At the flower we shared on your special day. Happy Grandparents Day!” – Kathleen Lademann.

Anyway, all those pictures and quotes and mottoes encourage me, give me a boost. If they were all cleaned off and put into a scrapbook, I think I would miss them. So, I guess my refrigerator will stay as it is, kind of messy and disorganized but a quick picker-upper as I go for a glass of iced tea.
