Ready Or Not

Ready Or Not

Happy Labor Day! Wherever you are and whatever your plans, my hope is that you have a happy, safe day. If you are not in the Bahamas, be grateful for that, but, please, spare some thoughts, hopes, and prayers for the people there. They are going through devastation. I was watching a YouTube broadcast from there last night. The reporter and the cameraman were in a hotel, reporting on Hurricane Dorian. At the first of her report, she sounded confident, but at the last, she was scared. My personal opinion is that the news organizations should not send their employees into danger zones. Stories are not as valuable as lives!

Saturday, I went to our town library and talked to a librarian about my latest book, Moonstruck and Murderous. They have all my previous cozies, The Cemetery Club, Grave Shift, Best Left Buried, Grave Heritage, Moonlight Can Be Murder, and By the Fright of the Silvery Moon. I found out that Moonstruck is on order! How wonderful. It boosted my spirits. When I asked if someone could take a picture of the librarian, the book, and me, they agreed. Another boost! Thank you to our wonderful library.

True to local custom (very localized, being just my custom) I’m going to mop my floors today. I do it every year on this date. And, as I labor, I’m grateful that I have a floor to mop and the ability to do so.

September! I hope it’s a good month for everyone!

Something in the breezes, as they stir the weeds and grasses, whispers of September as the summer softly passes.
