Possibilities in Two Tiny Hands

Possibilities in Two Tiny Hands

It has been a long time since my son was born, and even a lot of years since my grandchildren were born, but I still remember the anticipation as we waited to see whether we’d have a girl or a boy. Then, what would that child be, his special talents and likes and dislikes? This morning, this small poem is a simple declaration of the worth of each human and the amazing, small miracle that we call a baby.

Possibilities in Two Tiny Hands

Hope for the future, those newly born,

With the wisdom of the ages and the freshness of the morn.

One small being, bringing joy,

A dainty girl or a rowdy boy?

With great expectations, we wait to see

Just what our unborn child will be.

Unique and precious, from God above,

A baby is a treasure, made of dreams and hopes and love.
