It Must Have Been the Moonlight

It Must Have Been the Moonlight

The day started in an ordinary fashion. Nothing about it made Ned McNeil think an innocent phone call would plunge her into a dark secret and set her among some of the most dangerous people she had ever encountered. Maybe it was the moonlight. People said that a full moon did strange things to those who were sort of inclined to do evil. And this month had two full moons.

Moonstruck and Murderous is the third Ned McNeil cozy mystery. In it, we see the familiar faces of Ned, of course, and of Cade, Pat, Jackie, Miss Ann, Ron, Gerald, and Coradee. Also Daisy, who entered the second book, By the Fright of the Silvery Moon, and Greta, the librarian. But, there are other people who come into this story. Miss Evangeline, the fabulously rich heiress to the Carver estate and all her hangers-on relatives and a few others who are surprises to Ned.

Do you remember Cade was once married and his grown daughter is a missionary overseas? There’s more about Marianne in Moonstruck and Murderous.

In solving the murders of three people, Ned inadvertently discovers the answer to an old mystery. Funny thing was, it was an answer nobody expected and Ned could have done without being the one to find it.

Anyway, the third book, Moonstruck and Murderous, follows on the heels of Moonlight Can Be Murder and By the Fright of the Silvery Moon. It’s finished except for editing, editing, and editing. But, I’m excited about it. I hope you are too.
