Finding Lost Things

Finding Lost Things

My husband and I bought a 1967 Mustang brand-new, straight off the showroom floor. It was beautiful, small, shiny brown with a leather-look  brown interior and it was a V-8. That’s something rare, nowadays. Today’s cars are mostly 4-cylinder with some sort of eco-booster. Anyway, our Mustang was a neat car.

But, we sold it and I’ve always regretted that. The other night, I found it! I dreamed it was in a car lot, key still inside and it looked just like it used to look. I raised the hood to look under and was surprised to see the engine didn’t fill all the space, as it used to do. Anyway, that’s about where the dream ended, but I did find that car!

I’ve lost other things through the years, accidentally, or, as with the Mustang, on purpose but with regrets. My dream left me wishing there was a place where lost things could be found. It’d be nice if all those lost dreams, goals, hopes, enthusiasms, even friendships could be found and renewed. Or, is that just dreaming?
