A Muffin for Breakfast

I had planned to bake them for a long time. Something always stood in my way. Last time, I’d already started and realized I didn’t have enough flour. I substituted corn meal, but it didn’t work. So, yesterday, I checked supplies and realized I could give it a second try. I wanted to bake my own English muffins!

I heated the milk, butter, sugar, salt; I put yeast in a cup of lukewarm water. I was on my way. It wasn’t hard. It usually isn’t, when a person follows directions. Instead of being inventive, I stuck with what I was supposed to do. They turned out great! So, now, for breakfast this morning, I’m having homemade English muffins with blueberries on the side. Fortifying food for editing a mystery!
