A Blessing for a Cozy Mystery Writer

The Lord bless thy pen, that it runneth not dry,
And thy curiosity and asking why.
The Lord forgive thy nosiness
And all thy prying may He bless.
May he bless thy characters and plot,
And thy sales, that they be a lot!
May He bless thy coffee and thy fav’rite cup
That they runneth not dry when thou need’st a sup.
And thy characters, the good and bad,
That they maketh all thy readers glad.
May thy books make sure that Right prevaileth
And that all the evil bad guys faileth.
May thy mystery be spiced with fun,
And when it’s finished, may He say, “Well done.”
