Her Favorite Cozy Mystery Writer

I am so excited to present to you, for the first time ever on this blog, the cover picture for my soon to be released cozy mystery, By the Fright of the Silvery Moon. This follows Moonlight Can Be Murder. If you haven’t yet read this first book in the Ned McNeil series, now’s a good time!

And, there’s a second reason for the excitement. My friend Jane wrote a poem just for me and it’s about my books! I am honored. Thank you, Jane!

My Favorite Cozy Mystery Writer

By

Jane Ellison Barron

I have questions about my favorite mystery writer. I can’t help it, I’m nosy!

What’s on my mind you ask? . . . Why, the latest Blanche Day Manos cozy!

I’m wondering if it will make us fearful and cower in fright?

Or maybe give us the shivers under silvery moonlight.

First came Darcy and Flora, solving mysteries and finding clues,

Then Ned McNeil became a favorite and joined the other two.

You could say these women are braver than most any man,

Their mysteries easily solved with a cup of Folger’s coffee in hand!

Whether an old well or house, a church or graveyard, all have secrets to keep,

It’s up to these strong women to investigate and find the answers they seek.

They work hard solving the mysteries in Ednalee, a little-known Oklahoma town,

Being very thorough, they discover hidden clues no one else has found.

They are relentless in their search and courageous in their plight,

To bring the culprit to justice through exciting scenes of fright.

The Darcy/Flora duo and Ned McNeil cozies will make your heart skip a beat,

And when you go to bed at night, you’ll want to leave the light on when you sleep!
