Those Autumn Leaves of Red and Gold

Those Autumn Leaves of Red and Gold

Something special to look for tomorrow–my guest blog will be on Southern Writers Magazine, Suite T.  I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s there. Exciting!

Yesterday was a “just getting out and enjoying autumn” kind of day. The leaves on my maples aren’t too pretty yet, but the ones on the ground are gorgeous. They embellish the bird bath and the little stone girl, the deck. I love God’s decorations–snow in winter, leaves in the fall.

The clouds looked like a rub board, or like someone had taken a palette knife of white paint and spread it loosely across the blue sky.

Lowe’s was having a 75 percent off on their chrysanthemums, so I couldn’t resist a couple of pots. If you haven’t seen the inside of a garden center at this time of year, let me tell you, it looks rather lonely. Instead of bursting with plants, the shelves are pretty bare as they prepare for winter and closing down that outdoor area.

The children’s old tire horse, out-grown long ago, looked like he was ready for a long rest. I need to give that poor, dilapidated fellow away, but they have a fond feeling for him. So, at least for now, he hangs from the maple looking like he has seen better days (which he has.)

Don’t forget about tomorrow’s guest on Southern Writers Magazine. (Although, I’ll be sure to remind you.)

Anyway, don’t forget tomorrow! I’ll give you the link the The Southern Writers Magazine, Suite T. I hope you go there and read my thoughts on writing. And, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
